The secret behind being a
journalist on the move
Hi dear readers!
Today I want to share with
you the secret behind the journalist on the move in the eyes of those who don’t
understand my move. Well by now most of you may know already that Journalism is
my life and everything I do that has to do with informing which I do, with so
much pleasure.
In 2016 I left my family
and friends in a country I call home (Namibia) and came back home (Angola) to
learn amongst the best of journalists. Ever since I came here, life hasn’t been
a sea of roses, communicating in Portuguese was very difficult because I grew
up speaking English, but that didn’t stop me from talking. So many doors were
closed, but I didn’t give up. Many were the times I was criticized because of a
move I made, but that didn’t stop me from moving further. I was discouraged and
misquoted so many times but that didn’t stop me from moving and continue doing
what I like doing.
Be brave enough to accept
criticism and welcome them and strong enough to never give up/ not ignore them
and make them useful. I may not be known across the globe, but the desire to
never give up will earn me a place one day. In whatever I do, I never give up
and that’s my secret
